These fields help compare survey responses across places and link responses to neighborhood of Census-based benchmarks.

Home address

A full street address (e.g. 2386 University Ave, Madison, WI 53726), or a column of just 5-digit ZIP codes. Addresses are matched to Census geographies; a ZIP-only column uses the matching ZCTA.

Census benchmark vintage

ACS 5-year estimates used as the representativeness benchmark. Defaults to the most recent release.

Also compare Congressional District, State Legislative District (Upper), and State Legislative District (Lower). This runs an extra district lookup after geocoding, so it takes a bit longer. Applies to street-address data (not ZIP-only).

These fields are used to summarize representation and compare responses across groups. You must map at least one column.
